1997–2002 – The beginnings
The story of Glázer-Transz began in 1997 with the launch of its transport operations. In 2002, the business was officially established as Glázer-Transz Kft., the company we know today.
Initially, the business operated with just two IFA trucks, focusing primarily on transport services. From the very beginning, reliability, quick response times and meeting the needs of local customers played a key role. These principles later became the core values of the company.
2008 – Expansion and development
By 2008, the company’s fleet had doubled to four trucks. During this period, its first small operating site was established, where the storage and wholesale distribution of bulk materials also began.
Glázer Péter recognised the significant potential in providing fast, flexible service to private customers and those requiring smaller quantities of materials. As a result, the company’s activities gradually expanded beyond traditional transport services.
2008–2009 – Waste management and quarry acquisition
As the next step in its development, the company became one of the first in the Győr region to obtain a waste transport permit. The professional handling of construction and demolition waste, along with its transportation to inert waste disposal sites, opened up new business opportunities.
In 2009, the company also acquired the Győr Quarry III site, where waste treatment and recycling began alongside land reclamation activities, allowing valuable materials to be recovered and reused.
2010 – Reopening the quarry
In January 2010, following the acquisition of the necessary official permits, operations resumed at the quarry, including the extraction of previously unmined yellow sand.
The company gained increasing experience in quarry operations, laying the foundation for providing similar services to other quarry owners in the years that followed.
Alongside transport, quarrying and waste management became key pillars of the company’s business.
2011–2013 – Major projects and flood protection
The years 2011–2012 marked a particularly significant period for the company, with major developments in the industrial park and the expansion of the AUDI plant creating opportunities to accept and recover inert waste that could not be reused on site.
In 2013, we played a key role in flood protection efforts in Győr and the surrounding Szigetköz communities. By supplying nearly
30,000 m³ of sand and red gravel, we helped reinforce flood embankments and support sandbag flood defences.
A particularly important contribution was the additional 2,000 m³ of sand we made available to the City of Győr for immediate use.
2016 – A new quarry and steady growth
In 2016, Győr Quarry VI became the company’s own property, marking another important milestone in its development.
Gravel and clay extraction continued to expand, while the company remained primarily focused on meeting the needs of the construction industry.
By this time, the business had established a solid professional foundation, gained extensive experience and developed an increasingly broad customer base.
2018–2020 – Challenges and perseverance
The economic crises and the COVID-19 pandemic presented significant challenges for the company. However, thanks to the dedication of its employees and the resourcefulness of its owner, the business successfully weathered this difficult period.
The company was able to preserve its assets while continuing to invest in equipment and machinery. Transport, its original core activity, once again played a particularly important role, especially in meeting the needs of private customers.
Throughout this period, the company maintained both its operations and the quality of its services.
2019 – Major equipment investments
In 2019, the company made significant investments in new machinery. A high-capacity sand loader, a crawler excavator and a versatile backhoe loader were added to the fleet.
These investments substantially increased the company’s loading and earthmoving capacity, enabling faster and more efficient service.
2022 – LAND-PLAN joins the company
At the end of 2022, a new investor joined the business, and Glázer-Transz Kft. became part of LAND-PLAN Kft.
The company’s professional management continued to operate to the same high standards, while its stable financial backing enabled it to double its workforce.
The company also expanded into new areas of business, including the sale of bagged Homokvár sand and various civil engineering projects.
2023 – A new quarry and modern services
In early 2023, the company acquired Győr Gravel Quarry X, where the sale of M1-grade fill material suitable for large-scale earthworks began.
During the same year, the company introduced on-site bank card payments for private customers, making its services faster and more convenient.
The company’s goal remains to provide the same high standard of service to every customer, whether they order a small quantity of material or several thousand cubic metres.
Today – Responsibility and community engagement
Responsible and sustainable operations are among the core principles of Glázer-Transz. The company places particular emphasis on land reclamation, environmental protection and the responsible use of natural resources.
It also plays an active role in the local community, supporting businesses and sports clubs in Győr and regularly participating in environmental and urban development projects.
The trust of several thousand customers and the dedication of employees who have been with the company for many years reflect its stability and reliability.
Our mission and values
For nearly three decades, the same core values have guided both our daily work and our vision for the future.
Our mission: Responsibility for the environment
“Operating a quarry involves much more than using the resources provided by nature. It also comes with great responsibility.
Mining activities that are not carried out properly can cause significant damage to the landscape, soil degradation and harm to ecosystems. These areas must be restored sustainably once operations have ended.
The aim of land reclamation is to make affected land suitable for future use, whether for agriculture, forestry or recreation.
We consider it essential to take a long-term, life-cycle approach to our operations, ensuring that we work in harmony with the environment throughout the entire process.
We have embraced this responsibility since our foundation and remain committed to it for the future.”
Our strength: Every customer matters
We provide the same high standard of service and solution-oriented approach to every customer, whether they need just 0.5 m³ or several thousand cubic metres of quarry materials or other products we distribute.
Our logistics, transport fleet and loading capacity are equipped to handle orders of all sizes. From private customers to major construction companies, everyone receives the same quality of service.
This commitment has helped us build a customer base that now approaches 6,000.
Continuous presence, lasting partnerships
We are proud to have maintained a continuous presence in the market since our foundation.
We recognise the great responsibility that comes with operating a quarry, and we apply that same sense of responsibility to the way we manage our business and build relationships with our partners.
