Waste management

Our facility accepts large quantities of concrete, brick, soil and mixed inert waste. We assess and process the materials received, recovering and recycling as much as possible for further use.

Waste transportation

We hold a nationwide waste transport permit for all types of waste accepted at our facilities. Our own fleet of nine vehicles, together with our extensive network of transport subcontractors, enables us to meet our customers’ waste transportation needs at short notice, from quantities as small as 1–2 m³ to more than 1,000 m³.

We can arrange transport either to our own facilities or to a receiving facility specified by the customer. We offer particularly competitive waste transportation services in Győr and the surrounding area, while also accommodating longer-distance transport upon request.

Waste acceptance

Glázer-Transz Kft. is one of the region’s leading companies in the acceptance of inert construction and demolition waste. The types of waste we are authorised to accept are defined by our operating permit issued by the environmental authority.

Waste is accepted at our Győr Quarry III facility, located at 9027 Győr, Homokbánya utca, plot no. 01145/52.

The most commonly accepted waste materials include concrete, bricks and roof tiles, concrete rubble, bituminous mixtures, soil and stones, mixed construction and demolition waste, and brick rubble.

Important information for everyone delivering waste: We do not accept waste contaminated with foreign materials. In particular, we cannot accept lightweight construction and demolition waste such as paper, plastic film, bags, plasterboard and wood, or wood and soft-stemmed plant waste.

All incoming waste is assessed upon arrival and classified before being directed to the appropriate treatment process. All waste accepted at our facility is recovered for further use.

Waste treatment and recovery

01. Recycling and sales

A significant proportion of the concrete waste generated by construction projects in and around Győr that cannot be reused on site is delivered to our facility, amounting to nearly 20,000 tonnes annually.

After weighing and inspection, the waste is placed in a stockpile. Large concrete pieces, weighing up to 5–6 tonnes, are broken down using a hydraulic breaker attached to an excavator. The material is then further crushed using specialised machinery, while steel reinforcement is separated using a magnetic conveyor belt.

The resulting crushed concrete is classified and sold as a secondary construction material. Customers can collect it directly from our facility or arrange delivery. Quantities are calculated by weight using our certified 60-tonne weighbridge.

Crushed concrete is particularly suitable for civil engineering projects. Its use can replace natural quarry materials, contributing to the circular economy.

We also accept and process clean asphalt waste and brick rubble using similar technology. The latter is sold as crushed brick.

Soil delivered to our quarry is assessed and, where suitable, recovered for use as fill material. Proper sorting is carried out using a screening bucket, which can produce fine soil fractions with a maximum particle size of 20 mm.

02. Recovery through land reclamation

Glázer-Transz Kft. is a reliable partner for the acceptance and recovery of heavy construction and demolition waste generated in the region, with virtually no restrictions on quantity.

Mixed construction and demolition waste that cannot be recovered in its original form is processed as necessary through crushing, homogenisation and sorting. After blending it with soil-like materials in the appropriate proportions, the processed waste is placed in layers as backfill and recovered as part of the quarry’s land reclamation process.
